How It Started

A motorway in Germany.

The idea started on a trip to Germany. Driving down the motorway, I kept seeing solar farms. Panels on every south-facing roof, on barns, on warehouses, on strips of land next to the road. It was non-stop.

Then I came back to London. And I realised how little of it I'd been seeing at home.

That was the question that stuck with me. Why does one country go all-in on solar, and another barely notices? I didn't have the answer. So I went looking for it.

A year later, I'd spoken to dozens of installers, cleaners, and salespeople across the UK, US, and Canada. I'd filled 40-plus pages with their frustrations, their goals, and what the trade actually looked like from the inside. That's what Get Solar Clients is built on.
